Install Instructions

Inspect the Boat Whip Light Port:

  • Ensure the port is fully tightened down.
  • Confirm that the correct size screws are used (screw heads should fill the cavity).
  • Check that the pins are free of corrosion.
  • Apply dielectric grease to the pins for added protection.

Slide-Lock Port Installation (Not Included):

  • If your boat whip light port does not use a locking collar, reposition the guide screw to Position 3 or just below the cover.
  • Turn the port cover 180 degrees to lock down the guide screw.
  • This setup is secure for speeds up to 70 MPH and performs well in both calm and choppy waters. However, it is not recommended for use in rough water conditions.

Guide Screw Holes:

  • There are four guide screw holes that are compatible with 100% of boats.
  • Simply remove the guide screw to adjust the order if needed.
  • **Caution:** Lightly tighten the screw to avoid stripping the thread.

Collar Options:

  • You can use the collar included with your kit or remove the collar from your existing boat whip light if it fits better.

Pressure/CAM Installation (No-Thread):

  • This method is secure for speeds up to 30 MPH in calm water when tethered.
  • Fully insert the whip into the port, turn until completely tight, and use the tether for added security.
  • **Warning:** If the collar can be turned past the tight point to become loose again, do not drive the boat until it is properly secured.
