Think before you buy.

We recently purchased a pair of whip lights and paid extra for faster delivery... that was a joke... took a week to get to NV. We also paid for two light switches and they only shipped one. 5150 might be more expensive but think before you buy.

Update.... Whip lights said they would try to make things right, and also apologized. Well ..shopper's... they did both. They are shipping out the second switch and refunding the upgraded shipping. Therefore I will be changing my review from a two to a 5..... they did the right thing so I believe you can shop there without fear.
Thank you Whiplights, my faith has been restored.

COMPREHENSIVE KIT - MARINE

Each Marine LED Whip includes a comprehensive set of accessories:

  • Detailed installation instructions to get you started swiftly
  • Compatible with most common 2 wire stern light mounts.
  • This stern light does not come with a mount/base. If needed mounts/bases are available from numerous online retailers.

INSTALL TIPS

Slide-Lock Port (Note: Accessory not included)

If your boat's whip light port does NOT feature a locking collar, adjust the Guide Screw to Position 3 or place it just below the cover. Rotate the port cover 180 degrees to secure the Guide Screw in place. Refer to the image for clarification. *Rated for speeds up to 70 MPH (very secure in calm to moderately choppy waters, not recommended for use in rough water).

There are four guide screw holes used by all boats (1, 2, 3, 4) see diagram on install instructions.

To adjust or reorder, simply remove the guide screw. Caution: Be sure to lightly tighten the guide screw to avoid stripping the threads.

If it suits your setup, you may remove the collar from your existing boat whip light.

Pressure/Cam (No-Thread System) Rated for speeds up to 30 MPH in calm water when tethered. Fully insert the whip into the port, turn it until it's completely tight, and always use the tether. If the collar can be turned past the tight point and becomes loose again, do not operate the boat motor!
